Laura found love in her late 30s with John, an IT specialist. As their relationship blossomed, they began considering starting a family, mindful of the risks associated with older parenthood. This heartfelt story explores the challenges and joys faced by 47,000 families in the UK affected by Down syndrome, a condition where babies inherit an extra chromosome at position 21, known as Trisomy 21.
